I can't believe that my comeback post is the 100th POST on MaKa Style. It certainly has been a while since I posted any photo shoots or style advice here on the blog, but I am promising to get back into the swing of things. I have had some things stockpiling in my closet to feature on the blog for months!
Just to explain a little bit of my absence...this past winter, my father was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer called Birkitt's Lymphoma. It hit him extremely hard, but the doctors back in Buffalo took immediate action and started him on an aggressive regimen of chemotherapy. My Dad has been fighting hard and kicking cancer's butt as we have all been rallying around him. It has been a whirlwind of traveling back and forth to Western New York, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Our faith and love is strong in God and we all know that he is helping him pull through this. My Dad is a fighter and our family has been providing him with so much love and support.
So needless to say, MaKa has taken the back burner. Now...with Spring in full bloom, and my Dad close to the end of his chemo cycles, I thought it would be best to celebrate with a beautiful post showcasing the cherry blossoms once again on Roosevelt Island. Can't wait to see what the summer months bring for MaKa...and most importantly my family! Thank you everyone for checking in and always...Stay Beautiful! xoxo
